Striped Beanie Crochet Pattern

I made beanies for all the men in my family this past Christmas. I come from a big family, so it meant lots of hats. If that wasn't bad enough, I decided last-minute to make one each for two of my nieces. It  was crazy. My poor husband had to put up with crochet stuff all over the house, since I don't have a craft room (yet). Now that it's the second week of January, I think I've cleaned up all the little pieces of yarn from around the house, most of which came from my toddler getting crazy with the scissors when my back was turned.

I got the pattern from Colie's Crochet. I loved how simple it was, and that she has patterns for pretty much any head size you could need a head for. I mostly made the medium and large adult sizes. I found that I had to take about an inch off the length of the large hat size, but otherwise the hats fit perfectly. I used Red Heart With Love yarn for most of the hats. The soft green pictured above isn't red heart, but it was a worsted weight I found at Joann's.

I made all the hats with three colors, but didn't finish them all the same. Some had two colors at the bottom, like this green one. Others had the single line, like in the pattern. Others had several rows of single crochet in alternating colors. I'll try to get more pictures up soon.
